What a bittersweet day. My darling, sweet Mirakle found her furever home today.
I fell in love with Mirakle from the very first moment I saw her. She gave birth to five beautiful kittens: Oliver, Abbott & Costello, Pippa, and Paisley. It's been about two months since all of her children were adopted and she had been waiting so very patiently for her new owner. Today she came. I cried. I had wanted to keep Mirakle for my own as I had many fond memories of her. Sitting in the basement with her for hours on end as she purred and kneaded away. To say I was saddened that her being spayed had no positive effect on her aggression toward adult cats, was a huge understatement. Each day I would visit with her and I'd be sad for her. I would hold her and love her and pray for the right person to come along. Today that happened and I hope I didn't scare her new owner when I gave her a huge hug as I cried with happiness.
Mirakle, today you got your miracle. From being abandoned once, found, given a home for 6 weeks, impregnated while in their care, then left at a high kill shelter with the words "AGGRESSIVE" listed on her profile, into my home to safely give birth to your little ones, and now into the safety of a home where you will never be abandoned again.
I love you girly. I love you to the moon and back. Congratulations on your new home. The best thing out of all of this? I can still visit her. I'm always happy when I say "Welcome to my family" but today, I was overjoyed ❤️
